At DTS Building Consultants, our reports comply with the current Australian Standard – AS 4349.1 – 2007. Our reports are comprehensive, unbiased and detailed giving you the peace of mind to make an informed decision of your purchase. We will to advise you of any major structural defects and minor defects throughout the property and we can also advise of possible maintenance and/or rectification works required to prevent any further defects.

Our reports are emailed, faxed or posted to you within your required time frame (taking into consideration access to the property within 24 hours). We welcome any questions or clarifications you may have after reading your report and we’ll endeavour to contact you to confirm any points raised within the report.
John Phegan
John Phegan has been in the building and construction industry for over 40 years. John’s expertise in the industry comes from years of experience as a licensed builder, carpenter, contractor, real estate agent, local business owner and building consultant.
Over the years, John has carried out hundreds of residential and commercial inspections. He provides his clients with reports and findings that are both comprehensive and easy to understand. John possesses very strong interpersonal skills and he builds trust and value with all of his clients.
Prior to establishing DTS Building Consultants, John owned a real estate agency. With this he has an intimate and insightful perspective on the home buying process.
He’s very much aware of the anxieties and unforeseeable obstacles that present themselves during this whirlwind period in a buyer’s life.
John brings an extraordinary amount of wisdom, knowledge, experience and problem solving abilities to all his clients. Over his career John has reported on all facets of building and construction.
John lives in Glenellen NSW with his wife but is nationally based at Albury-Wodonga. He and his wife Elizabeth have 5 children. His voluntary work includes the Managing Builder at St Mary’s Church, Current Patron for the Riding for the Disabled Association and Volunteer member of the Glenellen Fire Brigade. In his spare time, he enjoys farming and working in his vineyard with his wife and family, including their 8 grandchildren.
